Peggy Scholberg and Cheryl Bailey
(2-20-2025) [RobJung]

CHERYL BAILEY is a retired gynecological oncologist and her gripping first novel, “Poised,” is a heart-warming story of her battles as a female, trying to crack the male-dominated field of cancer medicine in 1990s Kentucky with innovative ideas to make things better for patients. Along the way, she becomes attached to some patients, loses some, and expresses both her passion and pathos. Well-known author Rob Jung hosted this interview.

“Girls in a World at War” is author PEGGY SCHOLBERG’s accounting of her mother’s story as one of five women who served in a hospital in France during World War II. It covers a wide swath of their adventures from the initial crossing of the Atlantic to working with German POWs and their adventures from Paris to Switzerland. It offers a female non-combatant’s perspective.
