Writers Corner launched its first TV program on April 28th, with novelists Christine Husom and David Housewright offering their talents to a successful start. The once-a-month half-hour presentation from the studios of Eagan TV will be available not only from this website, but to the 35 cities in Minnesota which are part of the “Access to Democracy” network.
Sitting in comfortable chairs, in front of an impressive green screen backdrop of a library, the two authors shared many thoughts, including the use of outlining — or not outlining — in the creation of their works.
DAVID HOUSEWRIGHT, author of numerous books including both the Rushmore MacKenzie and Holland Taylor thrillers, has been a recipient of the prestigious EDGAR AWARD, won three MN Book Awards, and served as President of the Private Eye Writers of America. Known for his gregarious nature and great sense of humor, Housewright did not disappoint. His newest title will release in May, 2023.
CHRISTINE HUSOM, winner of numerous writing awards and nominee for the MN Book Award, recently stepped down as a Wright County Commissioner after a decade of service. She served with the Wright County Sheriff’s Office, trained with the St. Paul Police, all of which served as background for her Winnebago County Mystery series, which launched in 2008, with “Murder in Winnebago County“. She is a member of Sisters in Crime and the Mystery Writers of America.
The show is hosted by Producer/Author Alan Miller (Holding Court) who is hard at work on his next novel, having taken Emeritus status from his long-running, award-winning TV series Access to Democracy.
The May program, which will tape on May 26th, will feature well-known Minnesota authors CARL BROOKINS and WILLIAM KENT KRUEGER.
